For universal application, please note as the barrel size is 8" some modification maybe required as most trucks come standard with a 10" barrel. Therefore, guard and guard brackets may need to be changed.
Similar to our Flowtech Signature Series 10" x 44", the 8" option is a louder option due to the smaller barrel and less fibre glass packing - but quieter than the 7" option. Many of our customers have found that our Flowtech Signature series are particularly successful on Kenworth, Western Star and Freightliners with Cat C15 or Cummins Signature series engines. We have also found these to be quite successful on Kenworth T610/T659 Series with E5 & X5 Cummins Engines where the factory system can be quite noisy when using the Engine Brake/Jake Brake. Slight modifications need to be done when fitting to these trucks.
We have had feedback from operators reporting a 15-20L fuel saving per day - this clearly depends on driving style, kilometres travelled, load sizes and other variables, but with the current high fuel prices, these mufflers should pay for themselves in no time!
